In order to increase the country’s visibility in China and across Asian markets, as well as to attract greater tourist flows, Georgia will serve as a partner country of one of Asia’s largest tourism exhibitions — ITB China.
The exhibition will take place on May 26–28, 2026, in Shanghai, China.
According to the National Tourism Administration, the status of partner country entails enhanced visibility for Georgia along with a wide range of promotional activities.
At ITB China 2026, Georgia will host a 400-square-meter national stand, featuring cultural performances, gastronomy and wine masterclasses, as well as tasting sessions. Up to 70 Georgian companies will participate in the exhibition, with presentations and business meetings also scheduled.
The event will showcase Georgian culture, folklore, cuisine, musical programs, and wine tastings. Promotional videos about Georgia will be broadcast through Chinese media and digital platforms.
Georgia’s participation as a partner country at ITB China 2026 is expected to significantly enhance the country’s visibility in China and other Asian markets, while contributing to the growth of inbound tourism.
Last year, ITB China attracted approximately 21,000 visitors, more than 1,400 company representatives, and 700 participants from 85 countries.
