Eric Trump on Trump Tower Tbilisi: I want us to create something we can truly be proud of

Just like in New York, where Trump Tower stands near Central Park, Tbilisi will also have a Trump Tower next to its Central Park. It will be a continuation of what my father started and accomplished many years ago. I want us to create something we can truly be proud of – said Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization.

The official international launch event for Trump Tower Tbilisi was held in Tbilisi.

The total investment value of the Downtown Tbilisi project is approximately $2 billion. The development will be located on the site of the former hippodrome, next to Tbilisi Central Park, and will bring together six towers of varying heights. The architectural centerpiece of the complex will be the 280-meter, 62-story Trump Tower Tbilisi.

Downtown Tbilisi will cover approximately 600,000 square meters. The project will feature residential, hospitality, office and commercial spaces, including luxury hotels, a business center and premium retail areas.

Trump Tower Tbilisi is the first project in the region under the Trump brand. One of the world’s largest architectural firms, Gensler, is working on the project.

Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization, joined the launch event remotely. The event also featured remarks by Lawrence J. Glick, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization; Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze; Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili; and representatives of the Georgian and international companies involved in the project.

Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization:

“It all started at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, when we were talking about Georgia as an incredibly great country. Georgian people love America, and America loves the Georgian people. We genuinely want to create exceptional buildings in different parts of the world. My father fully supports that.

We want to redefine the city’s skyline and give the city a new look and identity. I want to support this project, and our entire development team in the United States is also ready to put their heart and soul into it so that it truly becomes the best building in Georgia — and not only in Georgia, not only in Tbilisi. I want us to create something we can truly be proud of.

First and foremost, this will bring global attention to Georgia. Since this morning, I have given many interviews – across Europe, in Israel, the Middle East and the United States – talking about Georgia and Tbilisi. Once we enter Tbilisi, the city will become more visible internationally. A new standard for development will be set, and many more people will become interested in Tbilisi.

Importantly, Trump Tower in New York is the most successful building. We are delighted that a similar initiative will be developed in Georgia. I am very pleased that, just as Trump Tower is associated with Central Park in New York, there will also be a Trump Tower next to Central Park in Tbilisi. It will be a continuation of what my father started and accomplished many years ago. Two billion US dollars will be invested. This is a Downtown project that will permanently transform the city’s skyline.

I will be coming to Tbilisi very soon, when we break ground, and I will return many times after that. Whenever we launch a new project and begin a new building, I know every project from the very beginning. I care deeply about the project itself and every detail. There is nothing we love more than real estate development. I will put my heart and soul into this work.

By the way, many Georgians also live in the United States, and they are among the warmest people. It is truly wonderful that there is such affection between our two countries. It adds something very special to this relationship. I will come so often that you may even get tired of seeing me.

The economic results speak for themselves. A country with 10% GDP growth must be doing something extraordinarily important and significant. I wish you success, congratulations, and congratulations to this remarkable team.”

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze:

“Today can confidently be described as a historic day for our country and for the development of our capital. The Downtown Tbilisi project and Trump Tower Tbilisi, envisioned as its main symbol, go far beyond the boundaries of urban development. This is a $2 billion investment and 600,000 square meters of modern space in the heart of the capital, creating a new reality for the country and a distinctive economic and tourism attraction.

This is a 280-meter, 62-story tower a bold statement that will give Tbilisi a new landmark alongside the world’s leading urban centers.

This large-scale cooperation is entirely natural and logical: Georgia is, in many respects, a natural bridge connecting Europe and Asia.

This project means thousands of jobs in our country, years of contracts for Georgia’s construction sector and, consequently, a major stimulus for the national economy.
The Government of Georgia will continue to firmly support projects of this kind and every investor implementing similarly large-scale and long-term developments.

In 2031, when Trump Tower is completed, and in 2033, when the entire district is finished, Tbilisi will gain a truly distinctive space that will blend harmoniously with the renewed Central Park.

I am deeply convinced that this project will become another visible symbol of our country’s economic strength, peace and progress, as well as a calling card for Georgia as a trustworthy, reliable and stable state.”

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili:

“A major project is beginning in Tbilisi that, in terms of investment volume, concept and the composition of its international partners, will take an important place on Georgia’s economic and investment map. I am confident that this major international project, backed by Georgian and American capital, will become a new landmark for Tbilisi and make a significant contribution to further strengthening the country’s investment appeal and international visibility.”

Information about the project first became public in April this year.

The project’s main partners and developers are Archi Group and Invia, with The Sapir Organization acting as co-developer. The investors include Block Stone Capital, Finvest and Vector Group.
