Disney Provides New Look at Lion King Ride Coming to Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris will be getting a new themed area inspired by “The Lion King” at Disney Adventure World, featuring Pride Rock and an exciting new ride.

A new photo was released of the planned area at the 2025 Annual Shareholders meeting for The Walt Disney Company.

The Lion King-themed area, originally announced in August 2024 during the D23 event, will join the Avengers Campus, Worlds of Pixar and the upcoming World of Frozen in the new park. Shopping, dining and the beloved Lion King characters will all offer lovers of the movie opportunities to step inside of it.

The new ride, which doesn’t have too many details released just yet, will tell the story of the main character, Simba, from when he was a cub to when he became king.

“Guests are going to love the many new offerings coming to our theme parks, and we’re proud of the positive economic impact these projects will have in the communities in which we operate, including creating thousands of new jobs in Florida and California,” said CEO Bob Iger.

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland are also celebrating exciting new attractions coming soon, inspired by Avatar, Coco, Encanto and more.
